Humans' Innate Understanding of Music
I know I've been posting a few links lately, but this is amazing. Bobby McFerrin shows how humans all over the world instinctively understand the pentatonic scale of music. We have an intrinsic knowledge of it. Even if we are not musically inclined, we know what "sounds right." Yet, this is not a beneficial survival characteristic. So if humans evolved, then why do we have an understanding and a deep desire to make and enjoy music. Perhaps it has something to do with a desire given to us by our Creator as a part of all creation to "sing praises to our LORD!"
